Do you only accept plasmid DNA as starting material?

While we do prefer plasmid DNA as starting material, we will accept glycerol stocks shipped to us frozen on dry ice. We will also accept starting material in the form of plates, stabs, or filter paper.

How much material do I need to send for each plasmid DNA prep?

1µg of plasmid DNA is an ideal amount of starting material.

How fast can I get my plasmid prep?

Select Maxi preps can ship in 48 hours. Mega and Giga preps can ship within 72 hours.

What if I have a low-yielding or unstable plasmid?

If you suspect your plasmid may be low-yielding, unstable, or otherwise abnormally tricky-to-scale, please contact us. Your material may be better suited for a high-end customized service.

What QC testing is performed?

For our basic preps, purity and yield are included. For other custom target or batch deliverable preps, our standard or complete QC bundles can be selected. All orders come with a certificate of analysis. For more clarity on the bundles, please follow this link.

I need my pDNA in a different buffer / at a certain concentration / with additional Quality Control testing. Can I customize my service?

No, but we can still help. Contact us if you require custom services.

What if I need a guaranteed quantity of DNA?

If you require a specifc quantity or if you have a low-yielding/unstable plasmid, a custom order may cost less than performing multiple preps and better suit your needs. Contact us for a custom quotation.

Can I order bulk or custom plasmid DNA?

Yes. Aldevron offers custom plasmid prep solutions and bulk production for CROs, biotech, and pharma.

What is Worry-free Shipping?

Worry-free Shipping is a service where Aldevron handles all the shipping details. Enjoy a smoother start to your production process with Worry-free Shipping. This service includes a prepaid overnight FedEx label for sending your plasmid starting material directly to Aldevron, helping ensure a fast and efficient turnaround.

Please note: This service applies only to plasmid starting material. Glycerol stocks are excluded due to dry ice shipping restrictions and cannot be sent using the prepaid label.
