Keeping pace with development
As modalities for therapeutics evolve, so too the approaches used in analytics for those modalities. At the 2026 TIDES conference, Anders Lund, Aldevon’s Director for Analytical Development, discussed those approaches in his presentation, Innovating RNA Analytics for Tomorrow’s Therapies.
During his session, Lund explored how the industry’s growing interest in oligonucleotides as biopharmaceutical agents is driving the need for analytical release strategies that keep pace with modern technology.
He also discussed the use of novel approaches for the release and characterization of pharmaceutical-grade oligos, including gRNA, mRNA, and oRNA, as well as new assays designed to evaluate delivery systems and monitor the stability of lipids and chemical modifications.
By focusing on both molecular characterization and delivery system performance, Lund highlighted the increasingly important role analytics plays in preparing these therapies for broader development and commercialization.
