Aldevron Manufactures Malaria DNA Vaccine for Naval Medical Research Center

Today, at the State of Technology Conference with Senator Hoeven and the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce, Aldevron announces completing the production of a DNA-based vaccine to combat malaria under a contract with the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC).  Aldevron, a leading contract manufacturer of plasmid DNA, proteins, and antibodies, produced three plasmid DNA constructs that have been delivered to NMRC in preparation for a phase I/II challenge study.

Aldevron Announces New Hires

(Fargo, ND) Aldevron, a privately held biotechnology company, announces the addition of Jesse Hoeg, Naomi Lucht, Taylor Miller, Tina Roeszler, and Christopher Haugen. 

Jesse Hoeg joins the organization as a QA Specialist II and will be maintaining standards, processes, and controls to support Aldevron's quality systems. Jesse graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota 

Another addition to the QA team is Naomi Lucht as a QA Specialist II. She brings 14 years of experience with BioLife Plasma as a quality auditor, and obtained a degree in Occupational Therapy from UND.

Aldevron Expands North Dakota Biomanufacturing Facility

(Fargo, ND) Aldevron announced the completion of a 4,500-square-foot expansion of its GMP and GMP-Source™ biological manufacturing facilities in Fargo, North Dakota. The project increases the company’s available production capacity by over 35%. This expansion is in response to increasing demand for Aldevron’s custom plasmid, therapeutic RNA transcript, and enzyme services, and affirms the Company's position as a global leader in contract manufacturing for the biopharmaceutical industry. Aldevron’s products are used in a wide array of gene therapy, gene editing, and immunotherapy programs.

Aldevron’s operations began in a laboratory at North Dakota State University in 1998 and have grown to include sites in Fargo, Madison, Wisconsin, and Freiburg, Germany. The Fargo site currently employs over 100 people and the company expects to increase its headcount to 130 by the end of 2016.
