The Joint Session of the State of North Dakota’s 67th Legislative Assembly held its opening sessions earlier this week, and featured Governor Doug Burgum’s 2021 State of the State address. Burgum reflected on the progress and challenges of the past year, calling for bold action and investments in infrastructure and other priorities to position the state for a bright future.

The governor also expressed his gratitude for citizens, businesses, state agencies, tribal leaders, federal and local partners for their efforts to fight the coronavirus, and especially for the frontline health care workers, first responders, educators and others who have worked tirelessly to care for others and adapt to the incredibly challenging pandemic conditions.

Among these remarks, he talked about the vital role that Aldevron has played in vaccine development, noting its 40+ COVID-19 vaccine programs with a large variety of partners worldwide. Burgum welcomed special guests from Aldevron, including Senior Manager of Client Relations Matt Krusen and Technical Operations Manager Angelica Meyer. These are two among hundreds of dedicated team members who continue to be directly involved with fighting the pandemic. Aldevron received a standing ovation from state leaders and other attendees.

Krusen and Meyer were accompanied by Aldevron Founder and Executive Chairman Michael Chambers and CEO Kevin Ballinger (pictured below).
