HBsAg Recombinant
Aldevron's
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) can be used with ELISA and other
assays to evaluate the immune response to pRc/CMV-HBs(S) or other plasmid
vaccines. The antigen can also be used as a positive control in your
experiments and to generate anti-HBsAg antibodies.
Typical Specifications
Source: Strain producer of yeast Saccharomyces
cerevisae, containing the plasmid pCGA7. Subtype ayw or adw.
Purity: >98% by SDS-PAGE.
Molecular weight: approx: 25 kDa, morphologically HBsAg posses a
subunit diameter of 18-22 nm.
Purification
Conducted from broken yeast cells by the following
scheme; Clarification, microfiltration,
ultrafiltration, absorption chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography,
ultracentrifugation, sterile filtration.
Immunological Activity
Tested in ELISA with anti-HBsAg antibodies.
Presentation
In 0.05M phosphate, 0.2M NaCl buffer pH 7.2
